The BMW 3-Series GT will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine, which churns out 188 bhp and 400 Nm of torque.
The facelifted version of the BMW 3 Series GT has been launched in India at prices starting from Rs. 43.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The 2016 BMW 3 Series GT, which gets minor updates at its exteriors, will be available in two variants, namely, Sport Line and Luxury Line.
The BMW 3-Series GT will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine, which also did duty under the hood of its predecessor. The engine is good to churn out 188 bhp and 400 Nm and the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kms per hour within 7.7 seconds. BMW is also offering the 2016 3 Series GT in petrol variant but it is only available in the Luxury Line variant. The 2.0-litre petrol engine in the petrol variant produces 248 bhp and 350 Nm and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kms per hour within 6.1 seconds. Both the powertrains are paired to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox with paddle shifters.
The 2016 3-Series GT is equipped with a LED headlamp setup, which also shelters LED corona ring DRLs. The headlamp is also facilitated with a camera-based adaptive assistance system that defocuses the light beam away from oncoming traffic. For optimizing the road illumination in all conditions, the headlamps are also equipped with Adaptive Cornering lights and High-beam Assistant system.
The front bumper has been finetuned, which gives a broader look to the car. The facelifted version of BMW 3-Series GT sports a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels and the taillight cluster too gets minor revisions. However, the facelifted model retains the frameless door structure and the boot-lid mounted electronically deployable spoiler of the outgoing model.
At the interiors, the BMW 3-Series GT is more spacious and gets a boot space of 520-litres, which can be increased to 1,600-litres by folding the rear seats. The rear seats have a split arrangement of 40:20:40.
