After Driverless Cars, Uber All Set To Explore Flying Cars Space

Uber has hired former NASA advanced aircraft engineer, Mark Moore as the director of engineering for its aviation segment.

After entering the driverless cars space, Uber is reportedly in plans to offer on-demand air taxis in urban areas. The ride hailing app company has hired former NASA advanced aircraft engineer Mark Moore as the director of engineering for its aviation segment. According to reports, the new on-demand air taxi service will be called ‘Uber Elevate’.

Uber Elevate will utilize vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft to deliver its on-demand air taxi service. It is yet to be confirmed, if Uber would develop VTOL in future.
