2016 Vitara Brezza was first unveiled in India at the 2016 Auto Expo, followed by a formal launch on 8th March.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) announced on March 22 that it will start deliveries of its newly launched compact urban SUV, Vitara Brezza from March 25. 2016 Vitara Brezza will be retailed from the carmaker’s 1,800 sales outlets spread across India.

Our endeavor now is to deliver these cars quickly so that customers can enjoy their Vitara Brezza,” says R S Kalsi, Executive Director (M&S).
Maruti Vitara Brezza was first unveiled in India at the 2016 Auto Expo, followed by a formal launch on 8th March. Going by the press release issued by the company, the Vitara Brezza has received around 70,000 customer enquiries and 20,000 bookings within the first fortnight of its launch. Maruti’s new compact SUV will be available in 7 variants, which also includes a fully loaded, top-end variant with dual tone colour scheme.
Some of the key features of the 2016 Vitara Brezza include dual colour scheme, a unique floating roof, versatile and spacious interiors. The compact SUV sports a length of 3995 mm, width of 1790 mm and height of 1640 mm. Besides that, it also features a 2500 mm wheelbase and bootspace of 328 Litres (researched by VDA method). In unladen condition, vehicle will offer a minimum ground clearance of 198 mm.
Powering the 2016 Vitaara Brezza will be the DDiS 200 engine and as the company claims, the compact SUV will offer a fuel efficiency of 24.3 kms per litre, making it the highest in the SUV category and 10 to 12 percent superior to other SUVs.
The company also claims that the 2016 Vitaara Brezza is the first car in India to be certified for offset and side impact crash tests which will be enforced in India in 2017.
